The digital passport is being launched to prevent fraud with the paperwork and to standardize information and share it securely.

NBC noted that international travel is likely to be the first industry to use the new passports.

It is done fairly simply. Travelers log in to the Travel Pass app using FaceID on their smartphones, then take selfies to Cheap Al Baker Jersey authorize access. They can then scan their passports using the cameras on the phones. From there, passengers can add their itineraries, vaccination certificates and Covid-19 test results.

“What it will do is give people and the authorities confidence that your documentation is correct that you have been vaccinated. You don’t have to carry pieces of paper around, which you could lose and get into a bind with the authorities,” Qatar Airways Group CEO Akbar Al Baker said.

Both the International Air Transport Association, which developed the Travel Pass, and the airlines using it say the Travel Pass will adhere to strict data privacy restrictions.

“It also will give you confidence as a passenger that your data that you have put into the system stays on your smartphone and is not being shared with anybody else,” Al Baker said.

Air New Zealand plans to trial the Travel Pass next month on its Auckland-Sydney route.

“Once borders reopen, travel is going to look very different, with customers’ health data needing to be verified at check-in. It’s essentially like having a digital health certificate that can be easily and securely shared with airlines,” Air New Zealand Chief Digital Officer Jennifer Sepull said. “This will give customers peace of mind that they meet all travel requirements for the different countries around the world before they even get to the airport.”

The San Gabriel Valley Tribune, Pasadena Star-News and Whittier Daily News all-encompassing Top 20 high school football rankings.

1. Bishop Amat (9-2 in 2019): The Lancers won their second straight Mission League title last we checked, and is still one of the top 10 to 15 best in the Southland. Although it will be without start receiver/defensive back Dyson McCutcheon, who is committed to the University of Washington, everyone else is back, including junior quarterback Tobin O’Dell, senior tight end Donavan Clinton and many others. The Lancers are playing just their league schedule, and are favored to win their third straight Cheap Jerseys From China Online league title. They open the season on Friday at Cathedral.

2. La Habra (10-3 in 2019): The Highlanders already opened the season with an impressive 35-16 victory over Chaminade. What was Cheap Jack Jacobs Jersey impressive about that win is that La Habra was scheduled to play Mission Viejo, but had to switch gears on the morning of the game after learning that players from the Mission Viejo program had players test positive for the coronavirus. La Habra QB Justin Gil is going to be a good one, the sophomore ran and passed for a TD in their opening win.

3. St. Franics (8-3 in 2019): The Golden Knights are playing their first season after the passing of longtime coach Jim Bonds last fall, and couldn’t have honored him any better with a thrilling last-minute 38-35 victory at Mira Costa Cheap Byron Chamberlain Jersey on Saturday with QB Jack Jacobs connecting with Evan Jernegan for an 11-yard TD with 23 seconds left for the win. The Knights will have another tough game this week against Damien at home. St. Francis has a strong group returning, especially with junior Max Garrison, an all-purpose threat along with senior Bryson Reeves, a wide receiver and defensive back who has signed with Utah.

4. St. Paul (12-2) in 2019): The Swordsmen reached the Division 4 finals in 2019, losing a tough one to Aquinas 24-16 in the championship, and Cheap Donovan Smith Jersey though they did lose some talented players from that team to graduation, coach Rick Zepeda has had the program on an upward curve for a few years now. One of the main questions for this team is who will start at QB, junior Ryan Kadomatsu or Isaiah Dunn, who is a transfer from Capital Christian High in Sacramento.

5. Damien (5-6 in 2019): The Spartans were beat, but not beaten after two weeks of trading paint with Trinity League teams, scrimmaging St. John Bosco and getting thoroughly dominated in a 42-6 season opening loss to Servite over the weekend. But much is expected of the Spartans after collecting 23 transfers Cheap Akili Smith Jersey since the 2019 season ended, including quarterback Donovan Smith, who transferred from Los Osos. The Spartans have a tough schedule, but the impossible part of it is over, traveling to St. Francis for Saturday’s game will be the true indicator of how much the program has improved.

6. Glendora (11-2 in 2019): The Tartans lost to eventual Division 5 champion Aquinas in the semifinals in 2019, but otherwise they were great. They return one of the best long snappers in the country in J.T. Greep, headed to the University of Utah and so much more. Jeff Isenhart (OL/DL), Matt Gonzalez (WR/DB) are returning seniors after making all-league. And senior Nick Hill (OL/DL) and junior Braydon Brus (RB/LB) are back after making all CIF in 2019. Also watch for freshman RB Zach Ford, who could be setting records at Glendora some day.

7. Muir (11-3 in 2019): The Mustangs advanced to the Division 11 championship in 2019, losing to Marina 18-9 in the championship game. The Mustangs’ defense was incredible all season, and will be good enough again over the next month. The Mustangs always have weapons at the wideout spot, but probably the biggest transfer since 2019 ended was getting senior quarterback Jack Clougherty from St. Francis, who is as good and talented as anyone in the area. DeShon Thompson recently left Northview and enrolled at Muir, giving the Mustangs yet another weapon. But with Clougherty, skies the limit and everyone will get their first look at him Saturday against La Serna.

8. La Serna (13-1 in 2019): The Lancers suffered one of the biggest heartbreakers in a championship, losing 42-41 to Pacific in the championship game in 2019, which was their only loss of the season. The Lancers have Dylan Long back at QB. He wasn’t the starter in 2019, but he played enough to throw for 325 yards and four touchdowns as the back-up. Tight end Jacob Leija and receivers Jake George and Atallah Shalash are two players that should see a lot of action.

9. Los Altos (9-3 in 2019): The Conquerors had a solid season in 2019 finishing second in the Hacienda League behind Diamond Ranch, and reached the second-round of the Division 6 playoffs before losing to eventual finalist La Serna. The Conquerors return senior QB Justin Gaytan, who nearly threw for 1,000 yards and 10 touchdowns, and two of the best receiver/corner combos in the area in brothers Zedekiah and Zecheriah Rodriguez-Brown, who both are committed to Black Hills State University.

10. La Mirada (7-4 in 2019): The Matadores’ lost in the first round of the Division 4 playoffs in 2019, but with coach Mike Moschetti back for his second season, keep an eye on them, and they have Shaun Grayson, a tight end/defensive end signing with UNLV returning. We will get our first look at La Mirada on Thursday when they take on Orange High School at El Modena High school.

11. Bonita (8-3 in 2019): The Bearcats struggled against the good teams in their league, losing to Glendora and Ayala, and then getting blown out in the first round of the Division 9 playoffs in 2019 after a lot was expected of them. But the Bearcats will be back because coach Steve Bogan is back and so is senior quarterback Sean Jastrab, who had a dominating junior season, passing for 2,622 yards and 26 touchdowns, so expect them to pick up where they left off.

12. Diamond Ranch (7-4 in 2019): The Panthers won a super tough Hacienda League in 2019, held their own in a season-opening non-league loss to Bishop Amat (17-0), but lost a 38-35 thriller to Etiwanda in the first round of the tough Division 5 playoffs. The Panthers graduate QB Cade Miller and will likely go with senior Sammie Montiel, the 2019 back-up. They have a lot of holes to fill, but the Panthers proved they belong with the areas best, so expect them to battle again.

13. Monrovia (10-2 in 2019): Coach Chris Williams has the Wildcats back where they should be, winning a Rio Hondo League title in 2019, and advancing to the second round of the Division 9 playoffs, and they should be even better. Watch for junior quarterback Noah Rodriguez, an all-league transfer from Alhambra who can sling it. But there is so much more, including three-year starters and seniors David Lopez (DT/G), Cameron Rufus (WR/LB) and two-year starting senior Jeremy Cruz (LB/TE). Also back is senior Jacob Schirer (C/LS) and Kai Taylor (WR/FS).

14. San Dimas (11-2 in 2019): The Saints advanced to the Division 9 semifinals in 2019 after winning the Valle Vista League title and they should be good again for coach Mark Holman. The Saints utilize so many different weapons so watch for senior running back/linebacker Jacob Buccola and senior running back/corner Tye Coleman, a transfer from Rowland. Senior Ryan Bulick will take over at quarterback and seniors Dylan Arriaga (OL/DL) and linebacker Arturo Orozco, who is recovered from an ACL, should provide a lot of depth.

15. El Rancho (9-3 in 2019): – The Dons finished second to powerful La Serna in the Del Rio League in 2019 and it was a good season for coach Adrian Medrano, and the Dons should be good again. La Serna returns seniors Jorge Villa (RB/OLB), Andrew Bencomo (OL/DL), Efren Prieto (OL/DL) and Louie Hernandez (WR/DB) and watch out for sophomore Angel Diaz at linebacker and tight end.

16. La Salle (6-5 in 2019): The Lancers were in a tough league with St. Paul and lost to San Dimas in the first round of the Division 9 playoffs, but you could tell first-year head coach Ben Buys had them moving in the right direction and that direction is up. Watch for super sophomore quarterback Richie Munoz to dominate after a terrific freshman season in which he threw for 2,626 yards and 30 touchdowns. But the talent doesn’t stop there, seniors returning include Marcus Powe (DB/WR), Gio Butteri (DB/WR), Isaac Mora (DB/WR) and Todd Rodriguez (DE/TE).

17. Charter Oak (4-6 in 2019): Chargers coach Dominic Farrar will officially take over for his father, legendary coach Lou Farrar, who passed away just after the 2019 season ended, in what was a tribute season for the long-time coach who battled Leukemia and touched so many. Let’s face it, the Chargers are always in the mix with the best-of-the-best and guess who the quarterback is? Yes, another Farrar, Dominic’s son, junior Vincent Farrar. The Chargers have more talent returning in seniors Damir Abdullah (WR/DB), headed to Colorado State, Joseph Obeto (WR/DB), going to Eastern Washington and Joshua Martinez (WR/FS) to Harvey Mudd.

18. Pasadena (7-4 in 2019): The Bulldogs finished fourth in the competitive Pacific League in 2019 and lost a tough 28-21 game to Linfield Christian in the first round of the Division 11 playoffs, but it has a lot back and that starts with talented senior QB Dante Coronel, who threw for 1,675 yards and 22 touchdowns. The Bulldogs, like Muir, are playing all their home games at the Rose Bowl because their home field is under renovation.

19. Maranatha (6-5 in 2019): Expect the Minutemen to be much improved with coach Lavar Arrington, who has quite the impressive coaching staff along with Akili Smith and Byron Chamberlain, all of whom have played in the NFL. But the reason for optimism is junior quarterback Tobey Schmidt, who transferred from Mater Dei along with some other skilled players. If you’re looking for a sleeper that nobody is talking about, this is it.

20. Northview (8-3 in 2019): The Vikings finished second to San Dimas in the Valle Vista and lost in the first round of the Division 7 playoffs to Ventura, 38-35, and the Vikings graduated a senior heavy group that included QB James Jimenez. The Vikings also lost all-purpose threat DeShon Thompson, who transferred to Muir and is hoping to play this spring with the Mustangs. But senior RB is back Cheo Medina, who led the Vikings in rushing in 2019 is back. While there will be a lot of questions marks, the Vikes always have a lot of talent and should again.

There were 12 passers who threw for 4,000 yards in 2020 and the Bears have never had one quarterback in 101 years of history throw for 4,000 yards.

It’s about time they find an answer to their problems at the position.

When asked at last week’s postseason press conference about starter Mitchell Trubisky’s future in Chicago, Pace said everything was “on the table.”

Here’s the full QB table:

Free Agent Starters

Mitchell Trubisky , Dak Prescott , Philip Rivers , Jameis Winston , Cheap Ryan Fitzpatrick Jersey , Andy Dalton, Jacoby Brissette , Tyrod Taylor , Cam Newton , Cheap Joe Flacco Jersey

Analysis: Pro Football Focus ranks Trubisky as the eighth-best available free-agent quarterback. PFF’s dislike of Trubisky has to be taken into account. They’ve never liked him. Several other analysts put him between third and fifth best.

If Matt Nagy intends to go forward with the bootleg style offense used in the final six regular-season games rather than the shotgun emphasis Nick Foles used, there couldn’t be a better option than Prescott. However, Dallas is unlikely to let Prescott leave and can tag him again.

Next best for this style of offense would be either Trubisky, Newton or Taylor. Taylor really hasn’t been a starter since 2017. He actually had respectable numbers with some bad Buffalo teams, posting a 92.5 passer rating, 7.2 yards per attempt, 51 touchdowns to 16 interceptions and three seasons of rushing totals ranging between 427 and 580. Injuries and failures after being benched caused him to become a backup. Whether he could find that starting level from Buffalo again at age 32 is uncertain.

Rivers would cost too much for one season because of the Cap situation. Fitzpatrick is actually tight with Bears receiver coach Mike Furrey, but would never fit the style of offense used by the Bears at season’s end and might want more than their cap space dictates. Winston is high risk and high reward and not someone a coach and GM would want if they’re under a win-or-else mandate.

Likely Scenario: With no chance at Prescott, it comes down to Trubisky, Taylor and Newton. Trubisky could win out based on system knowledge. PFF projects Trubisky would sign for two years and $15 million while Spotrac.com assigns him a market value of $8.3 million a year. Both Taylor and are projected as being available for less. They could have had Newton this year and decided against it, so apparently they don’t like him even if his style of play would fit into their bootleg offense.

Free Agent Backups

Jacoby Brissette , Dwayne Haskins , Nick Mullens , C.J. Beathard , Cheap A.J. McCarron Jersey , Cheap Colt McCoy Jersey , RG III , Sean Mannion , Tim Boyle* , Cheap Brian Hoyer Jersey , Brett Hundley , Geno Smith, Blaine Gabbert . *Restricted free agent

Analysis: Haskins’ in-season availability had plenty of Bears backers urging them to sign him. He shouldn’t even be in the NFL. Any analyst who does an honest appraisal of what Haskins has done will arrive at this conclusion. Both 49ers backups would be fine as backup types. Both have been acceptable in spot duty under pressure. The Bears should put out an offer sheet for Boyle simply to infuriate the Packers.

Likely Scenario: The Bears already have a backup who knows the offense and has been in Chicago one year. Extra time within the system and an offseason of work might even make Foles play the way he did in beating Tampa Bay. If they could figure out how to block for the run out of the shotgun formation, Foles might even be their best option for starter in 2021.

Possible Trade

Matt Ryan , Deshaun Watson , Matthew Stafford , Carson Wentz, Jimmy Garoppolo , Sam Darnold, Derek Carr , Gardner Minshew , Tua Tagovailoa , Daniel Jones , Teddy Bridgewater .

Analysis: John McClain has covered the NFL for 45 years for the Houston Chronicle and reports from his sources that there is no way the Texans ownership is willing to part with Watson. Adam Schefter reported the Texans have had internal conversations about possible trade partners for Watson and what their future would look like without him. Those are the type of what-if conversations all teams have. The McClain statement carries far more weight. So Bears fans still tossing around the idea of getting Watson are simply wasting their time. Stafford and Ryan would come in far too expensive for the cash-strapped Bears. Wentz would be an ideal fit because the Bears have his former quarterbacks coach from the Super Bowl season, John DeFilippo, as well as Foles. But they also don’t have the kind of money available Wentz received on his contract. Garoppolo would be an interesting situation if available for a deal. He’s from Chicago and his contract terms are not so ridiculously high as to chase away teams interested. It would be silly for both the Giants to trade Jones and Dolphins to deal Tagovailoa after having them for only a short time on their rookie deals.

Likely Scenario: Without Watson available, the only way the Bears would trade for any quarterback would be as a reclamation project with a young passer. Darnold would fit this scenario. The asking price for Darnold would need to be very low.

Potential Cap Cut Victims

Alex Smith , Marcus Mariota

Analysis: The deal Mariota signed allowed for him to be easily cut this year to save cap space, but is he really any type of answer for the Bears at the position? Washington could save about $3 million total by cutting Smith—eat $10.5 million and save about $13.5 million in salary. Smith might not even want to play again, or could restructure his deal to stay in Washington.

Likely Scenario: Mariota should be of no interest but Smith would because of his past ties to Nagy and this style offense. If the Redskins did simply cut Smith to save cap space, anticipate the Bears would make some type of play for him, then put him into the mix with Foles and a rookie. Both Smith and Foles would be ideal for helping to train a rookie.
